Men's health brake down.
Quick Fixes.
These two options are examples of quick fix problem solving. They offer the reader quick ways to solve some of life’s biggest and most asked about problems. “BUILD WEALTH FAST!” The magazine uses monosyllables for these tag lines to make the tag lines as simple as the problem fix they are advertising. From the titles been quick and simple to understand the average reader of Men's Health may be lead to beleive that the task being talked about is just as simple, making him want to try it for himself. Analysing the whole cover you can see that most, if not all of the tag lines are quick fix problems. They are mainly in large-ish text that will catch the eyes of readers and use motivational quick sounding words such as "Instantly", "easy" and "fast" Once again this will cause the reader to want to try these methods as they will think it will give maximum results with minimum effort.
Male narcissism
From a narcissism point of view David Beckham could be seen a role model to many of the male readers. They will see his body on the front cover and then look at the tag lines also included on the front cover and think by using these problem fixes they could possible one day resemble David Beckham.

What representations of men are offered and constructed in the media texts we are studying?
On of the main texts we are studying in this unit is the movie Fight Club. Several types of masculinity are portrayed in this film such as:
- Hegomonic male. Tyler can be seen as god example of sa Hegomonic male in this film. He is very aggressive and likes to fight. He can be seen as the alpha male when he startes up the army for project mayhem as he is the one every looks up to and takes orders from. Also the narrotor seems to look to him as a father figure as he only does things with Tylers say so.
- Complicite male. The narrator can be seen as complicite as he takes greate pride in his home (creating a comftable nesting postion) and his appearence. This could be seen as feminine characteristics.
- Marginal male Many of the men in fight club can been see and marginal as they have lost there pre-industrial revolution role in the work place and many of them have a feeling of loss of traditional masculinity. There for they feel fighting in fight club can restore this feeling of masculinity and give them a place in the world again. Bob (bitch tits Bob) can be seen as marginalised. He has had his testicals removed (becasue of testicular cancer) and they for it could be argued he has lost his masculinity entirly and has been feminised. Becuase of this Bob is killed as a punishment for abandoning his masculinity by being shot in the head during a mission for "Project mayhem"
